What we hold, why we hold it, and what you can do about it.

Eng Training is an independent IELTS Academic preparation platform, operating at eng-training.com. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by IELTS or the IELTS Partners.

This notice covers visitors to the public website and people who create an Eng Training account. Accounts are for adults aged 18 or over.

• Account and contact data. Your email address and authentication details. If you sign in with Google, we receive the basic account identifiers needed to sign you in — never your Google password.
• Profile and settings. Your target, study preferences, the skills you find hardest, and your chosen interface language.
• Practice and learning data. The attempts you start, your answers, results, timings, progress and practice history.
• Writing submissions. The text you write in Writing practice, including saved drafts.
• Speaking recordings and transcripts. Voice recordings you choose to make, transcripts created from them, and practice signals such as duration and pace.
• Technical and security data. Information needed to operate and protect the service, such as session and request metadata.
• Support data. Anything you send us when you get in touch.

We do not currently take payments, so no payment or card information is collected. If paid plans are introduced, this notice will be updated before that happens.

Writing and Speaking feedback is AI-assisted practice guidance. It runs only when you explicitly ask for it. To produce it, your response, its practice prompt and limited practice context are sent to the configured AI service provider.

This guidance is for practice. It is not an official IELTS score and does not predict or guarantee an official test result.

Recording only starts after you have read the notice shown at that moment and actively agreed. Your browser asking for microphone permission is not treated as your agreement — the permission and the consent are separate things.

We do not use your voice to:

• identify you
• create a voiceprint or any speaker-identity model
• authenticate you
• infer your nationality or ethnicity
• infer emotion or personality

Recordings are stored privately and are reachable only through short-lived, access-checked links tied to your account. They are never public, never included in analytics, and never placed in ordinary logs or error reports.

We rely on a small number of providers to run the service: application hosting; a database, authentication and private file storage platform; a speech-to-text provider; an AI provider for practice guidance; and a speech synthesis provider for Listening audio. They act on our instructions for those purposes only.

We list provider categories rather than naming vendors that are configured but not yet active, so that this notice never overstates who actually handles your information.

Some of these providers operate outside India, so your information may be processed in other countries. We use providers that offer appropriate contractual protections for that transfer.

Account, profile and practice data is kept while your account exists, because it is what makes your history and progress meaningful.

Voice recordings and transcripts are kept until you delete them or your account is deleted. There is no automatic expiry period in force today, and we are not going to quote one that is not actually enforced. Deleting a recording in the product permanently removes the recording, its transcript, its response details and any feedback derived from it.

Backups may retain copies for a limited period after deletion.

• Ask for a copy of the information held about you
• Ask for information that is wrong to be corrected
• Delete your Speaking recordings and everything derived from them
• Ask for deletion of information or of your account
• Withdraw your agreement to AI feedback or voice recording at any time
• Change your interface language and profile settings

Withdrawing agreement stops future processing for that purpose; it does not undo processing that already happened. See Data requests.

When you agree to the Terms, to AI Writing feedback or to voice recording, we keep a record of that decision: what you agreed to, the wording shown to you, where and when you decided, and the version of the notice at that time. Withdrawals are recorded as new entries rather than by erasing earlier ones. We do not store your IP address to prove consent.

Access to your data is enforced at the database level so that one account cannot reach another's. Recordings and other private files sit in private storage with no public URLs. Server-side credentials never reach your browser. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim certification against any particular standard.

Eng Training accounts are for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe an under-18 account exists, contact us and we will remove it.

When this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting how your information is used will be communicated in the product.
