The service

Eng Training is an independent IELTS Academic preparation platform. It provides structured practice in Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking, practice mocks, results and practice guidance. Using it means you accept these terms.

Eligibility — 18+

You must be at least 18 years old to create an Eng Training account. By creating one you confirm that you are. We may close accounts where this is not true.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself and do not share your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us if you believe it has been accessed by someone else.

Independent preparation, and trademarks

Eng Training is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, authorised by, certified by or approved by IELTS, the British Council, IDP, Cambridge or any other official IELTS organisation. IELTS is a trademark of the IELTS Partners.

Eng Training refers to IELTS descriptively, to identify the examination for which these independent preparation services are designed. No official materials, logos or visual identity of the IELTS Partners are used.

Practice results are not official results

Everything produced on Eng Training is practice output. It is not an official IELTS score, an official IELTS result, or a prediction of one. Only an official IELTS examination produces an official IELTS score. Practice materials are original and are not official test materials.

AI-assisted feedback and its limits

Writing and Speaking feedback is AI-assisted practice guidance. It is not produced by an examiner and is not IELTS scoring. It may contain mistakes or miss things, particularly where audio is unclear. Use it to guide your practice, not as a measure of your likely test outcome.

Speech-to-text can misrecognise words. Reading and Listening answers are checked deterministically against fixed answer keys.

Acceptable use

  • Do not copy, scrape, republish or resell the content or the service
  • Do not attempt to bypass access controls, limits or security measures
  • Do not upload unlawful, abusive or infringing material
  • Do not record or submit another person's voice without their agreement
  • Do not use the service to impersonate anyone or to mislead others
  • Do not disrupt the service or interfere with other people's use of it

What you submit

Your written responses and voice recordings remain yours. You grant us the permission needed to store and process them in order to deliver the features you have asked for — saving your work, checking answers, producing transcripts and generating practice guidance. We do not use identifiable learner audio to train models.

Our content

The Eng Training platform, its original practice materials, audio, interface and software are protected by intellectual property rights. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use them for your own preparation, and nothing more.

Suspension and closure

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used unlawfully, or where required to protect the service or other users. You can stop using the service at any time; see Data requests for deletion.

Availability

The service is provided as it is. We work to keep it reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and features may change as the product develops.

Plans and payments

Paid plans are not offered at this time and no payment is taken. Billing, renewal, cancellation and refund terms will be published here before any paid plan becomes available. See Plans.
